One of the original Plugins "The Dashboard" have many more instruments available.
Multiple instances is possible, that can be vertical (as before) or horizontal, both dock-able.
A world wide raster-chart coverage for Windows computers is possible through the
"BSB4" and
"NV Digital Verlag" chart Plugins.
These two plugins are not Free, not opensource.

OpenCPN for Mac is now kept up to date with the other operating systems.
Many small enhancements for the AIS implementation, now mean that OpenCPN has a very capable integrated AIS plotter.
The ToolBar is now "Floating" and transparent, can be horizontal or vertical and docked to any side.
Full Screen Mode is now available as is a general dimmer of the whole screen for night navigation.
The Measure tool is now multi legged and with a running total distance.
VMG is now displayed when a route is active.
The tidal stations has a total new presence on the screen. The state of the tide, and the "trend", rising or falling is now available at a glance.
A Latitude and longitude grid can be switched on for vector charts.
OpenCPN can now quilt Transverse Mercator Charts.
There are many improvements to the "Route Manager". Route Planning, including tidal display, splitting and joining routes and tracks is worth
learning to know, as is the "Automatic Daily Tracks".
Users can now select colors for routes and Tracks
Layers is a new concept for displaying more permanent user controlled objects.
All navigation objects are automatically backed up between sessions.
For CM93 corrections can now be applied to individual cells.
And ... OpenCPN now comes with support for 19 different languages!
